近年来,我国艺术设计学科的教育发展迅速,在全国高等教育改革持续深入的新形势下,艺术教育也需要进一步深化教育改革。为了推动教育的发展与教学的进步,沈阳大学开展了教材建设专项工作。美术学院根据自身学科特色,以公共艺术设计专业的必修课程为核心,组织编著了本教材,以教材建设来推动课程内容与教学模式的改革。
随着社会文化的蓬勃发展,公共艺术产业与公共艺术教育在当代多元视觉文化领域具有鲜明的时代性与综合性,并在许多方面与其他艺术学科相互交叉,因此公共艺术设计的高等教育具有自身的学科特点。有必要对加强公共艺术专业建设、促进专业教学、提高本科教学质量进行系统而深入的探讨研究,而一套体系完整的教材可为此提供专业教学的理论基础。
