本书是《新趋势英语综合教程·中册》的自测题与学习参考的合订本，共分两篇。第一篇为自测题，下分四个检测模块，每个模块针对主教材的两个单元，可供学生用于总结性自测和查漏补缺；第二篇为学习参考，根据主教材的内容相应地分为八个单元，旨在给学生自学和教师教学以启迪，师生们可以根据自身情况有选择地使用。
